Ricky Gervais has hit back at criticism of a joke about a dead baby included in his latest stand-up routine.
Two bereaved parents reportedly walked out of the controversial British comedian's recent show in Belfast - part of his Humanity tour - over a joke about a dead baby.
Belfast Live reported the couple, Suzi and Ryan Gourley, lost their newborn son last July.
They reportedly treated themselves to their first night out since the loss to Gervais' stand-up show, until they heard a joke so offensive "(you) wouldn't have expected (it) in a million years from anybody".
"I know people take things differently and I know our emotions are raw, but why joke about a baby being dead? It's just wrong," Suzi told Belfast Live.
