British comedian Ricky Gervais is disgusted with scalpers after discovering tickets for his upcoming David Brent concerts are selling for as much as £1,000 (NZD$1953.29) each online.
The funnyman recently announced he would be reprising his bumbling boss character from TV comedy The Office for a "couple of very cheap, very low-key, warm-up gigs".
Tickets for two London shows went on sale on Tuesday and sold out in less than one minute - and those who were lucky enough to get their hands on them have already started selling them on secondary ticketing sites at hugely inflated prices.
Unlucky fan Julie Shaw took to Twitter.com to share her disappointment, writing, "Annoyed ticket scouts got there first, £3549.95 for three Brent tickets".
Gervais spotted Shaw's tweet and responded to her directly, urging fans not to shell out thousands for tickets which originally cost less than £20.
