Rick Ross to make New Zealand debut

Rick Ross will perform his first New Zealand show in September.

Kiwi rap fans have been treated to the announcement of Rick Ross playing his first New Zealand show.

Ross announced that he will play in Auckland on September 25 at the Logan Campbell Centre.

The rap star has been climbing the rap ladder since his critically acclaimed 2010 album Teflon Don, and has since featured on tracks with the likes of Kanye West.

2016 saw Ross feature on one of the biggest blockbusters of 2016, Suicide Squad, where he worked with Skrillix on Purple Lamborghini.

Ross comes to New Zealand after his well-received 2017 album Rather You Than Me.

"Here Rozay sounds like the rap boss he's always claimed to be," said The Guardian's Damien Morris in a four star review.

A Frontier touring pre-sale begins on July 2 with the general public being able to purchase tickets on July 5.
