I remember going to Disney on Ice when I was a little girl. I was spellbound and it remains a favourite memory from my childhood. Now that I have children of my own, I couldn't wait to re-live the wonder.
The excitement started long before we arrived at the stadium. My five-year-old spent ages deciding which outfit to wear - eventually settling on Rapunzel, the star of the show. My two-year-old chose the Tinkerbell tutu because it is green, her favourite colour.

Dare to Dream of course opens with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy - I am always amazed at the grace of the skaters in those bulky costumes. I was even more impressed later in the show when a figure skating horse, Maximus, entered the rink - now that is something to see.
This season's production features longer storytelling and fewer segments. I like this format as I found last year's show somewhat overwhelming with all the set changes.
