KEY POINTS:
Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have all agreed to star in the Sex and the City: The Movie sequel, a film insider has claimed.
Following months of speculation the quartet were set to reprise the roles they brought to the big screen last year - four years after the hit US TV series ended - a source has now claimed the lead actresses will appear in another movie.
The film insider said: "Not all the contracts are signed, but everyone is on board. It just happened."
All the actresses will get increased salaries for appearing in the second movie. Kim originally refused to sign up for the first film over pay disputes.
Cynthia, who plays lawyer Miranda Hobbes, already has an idea for a plot the new movie could follow.
She said: "I would love to see her and Carrie and Charlotte and Samantha all go off on some wild mad cap adventure somewhere."
It was widely specualted last December that New Zealand is one of the locations being looked at to film the sequel.
Although Warner Bros., who made the first movie, have not confirmed a sequel will be made, Sarah Jessica - who plays writer Carrie Bradshaw - has previously hinted the movie will start shooting this year.
She said: "I think shooting in summer is a realistic timetable. That's when we'd start shooting to be out in 2010. But that means we need to figure this out in the next couple of months.
