His summer got off to quite the sad start this year, when he announced that he had parted ways with his actress wife Jacqueline Jossa.
But Dan Osborne had much to laugh about on Thursday, when he learned that an impostor pretended to be him during a visit to Dublin restaurant White Moose Cafe, and was subsequently given full VIP treatment according to DailyMail.

The moment was brought to the attention of Dan, 27, when a team-member at the popular eatery breathlessly tweeted that he was in the building, along with a snapshot of a lookalike wearing a pinstriped blazer and black beanie hat.
They wrote: 'The staff are uncontrollable with excitement to have @DannyO eating in the cafe and staying with us in the hotel. Check out our Insta stories for more (whitemoosecafe). We're gonna ask him to put on his speedos.' [sic]
However, TOWIE star Dan soon shared a series of laughing emojis as he shot back under the snapshot: 'This is not me!'

Apparently unmoved by his denial, the person manning the social media account responded: 'Oh sorry, yes it isn't you. Did you hear that folks, this IS NOT @DannyO,' following by a trio of winking emojis.
After another Twitter user insisted that the man in question looked 'nothing like Dan, the establishment's Twitter account responded with another tongue-in-cheek comment: 'No. Doesn't look like him at all. Definitely not him,' with more winks.
Responding to Dan's denial, EastEnders actor James Forde tweeted: 'Well someone just got a free meal off your name.'
Dan then wrote back: 'Love that he's let em take a picture and gone along with it.' [sic] The moment served as some light comic relief for Dan, who has been seen getting friendly with his estranged wife Jacqueline Jossa, 25, again, two months after they announced that they had gone their separate ways.
Earlier this month, the exes were spotted out and about with their newborn Mia and daughter Ella, three. He also has son Teddy, four, from a previous relationship.
Their outing came after Jacqueline hinted at a reunion with Dan, after taking to Instagram to share a sweet family snap with the reality star's shoulder in shot.
Meanwhile, Dan only recently took to social media to share his first snap of baby Mia, adding that wife Jacqueline did 'amazing' as he gushed with pride.
The delighted dad wrote; '2/3 of my ABSOLUTE WORLD!! Welcome to the world Mia Osborne another little princess. Jacqueline did amazing, she is doing fine and baby is perfect. 25.06.2018.'
