KEY POINTS:
American rappers 50 Cent and G-Unit are set to hit our shores this April, playing Vector Arena on April 25.
That's if they make it, of course.
The last hip-hop tour set to grace Vector's stage - the Get Served tour featuring Omarion and Marques Houston - was cancelled. Twice.
Plus, it seems 50 Cent is not a man of his word. Last August, the rapper swore he would quit the music industry if fellow hip-hopper Kanye West outsold his third album, Curtis.
The two records were released on September 11 last year, with West's album Graduation claiming the number one billboard spot ahead of 50 Cent.
Still, the rapper has shown no signs of ending his career any time soon and will head Downunder next month playing Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney, where he is also booked for the MTV Australia Awards.
50 Cent performed in New Zealand two years ago, playing shows in Wellington and Christchurch, however this will be his first Auckland appearance.
Tickets are on sale now through all Ticketmaster outlets.
