Sam Hansen says he might not have a career if it wasn't for his mother.
Kiwi musician Sam Hansen, aka rapper PNC, has made a moving tribute to his mother after her death in a Feilding house fire.
"She was my mum, she was my dad, she was my best friend and she showed me the definition of unconditional love," Hansen was reported as saying
as he farewelled Kathy Hansen at a funeral on Friday.
Kathy Hansen, a guidence counsellor, died in a house fire in Fielding on August 24. She was 69.
The Manawatu Standard reported Hansen saying he was extremely close to his mother: "I felt like we were the same person, like we just were one soul".
He also said he might not have a career if it wasn't for her.
