Rapper Lil' Kim's shocking new look sparks social media uproar

Lil' Kim posted a series of selfies on Instagram looking noticeably blonder, lighter, and paler.

Lil's Kim's latest transformation has left her facing accusations of "looking white", according to the New York Post.

The rapper and former Dancing with the Stars contestant has been no stranger to changing looks, but her latest Instagram post has left her unrecognisable with long blonde hair and noticeably paler complexion.

The 41-year old has long faced speculation of receiving plastic surgery. In 2005, she admitted her nose had been fixed.

Speculation has now heightened as to whether Lil' Kim has bleached her skin to look paler.

Fans took to social media to express their shock over the rapper's dramatically changed look, sparking debate over issues such as self-esteem and black pride.

"This is so sad. The damage appears to be all done now. I guess she will start checking the Caucasian box from now on," wrote one Instagram user.

Fans also took to Twitter to voice their opinions, some discussing Lil' Kim's famously tumultuous relationship with the late rapper Notorious B.I.G.

Many voiced their disappointment over the rapper's markedly white appearance, calling for better support for young black girls and perceptions over black features.
