Rachel Hunter has been dumped by her fiance less than two months before she was due to get married, it has been confirmed.
The New Zealand model's representative confirmed Hunter and her fiance have called off their wedding to celebrity news website people.com.
"Can Associates Limited regret to inform you that the August wedding of Rachel Hunter and Jarret Stoll has been cancelled and the couple have decided to split," the statement said.
"We ask you to respect Rachel and her family's privacy during this extremely upsetting time."
The 39-year-old model was left stunned when ice hockey star Jarret Stoll, 27, walked out on her with no explanation, emailing guests due to attend their August 14 wedding ceremony to tell them it was off.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Rachel is absolutely devastated. Everything was in place for their wedding - she had the venue, the designer dress, the guest list.
"She has absolutely no idea why Jarret has done this. It sounds like it
could be a classic case of cold feet. He is a fair bit younger than her."
Rachel is believed to be receiving support from her ex-husband, singer Rod Stewart.
She is said to have told a friend: "Rod has been amazing through all of
this - a real support."
Rachel - who has two children, Renee, 17, and Liam, 14, with the rocker - married Rod in 1990 but they split nine years later, finalising their
divorce in 2006.
The teenagers are said to be "in pieces" over the end of their mother's
relationship, which began in 2006.
She and Jarret - who lived together in a £2.2 million Californian mansion - got engaged last August.
Rachel has previously spoken of her love for the Canadian Los Angeles Kings star, insisting she wasn't worried by the 13-year age gap.
She said: "It obviously isn't an issue for us because we wouldn't be getting married if it was a problem. Of course you talk about it but it was a very easy conversation."
