KEY POINTS:
The Pippa Wetzell/Paul Henry combination is proving popular with viewers.
Ratings for TV1's Breakfast show have jumped since the pair began presenting together.
Wetzell took over the role alongside Henry three weeks ago, after Kay Gregory left.
Since the changeover, AGB Nielsen media ratings show the average audience numbers for the 7am-9am show have soared by almost 10,000 viewers, when compared with the three weeks before Wetzell started.
The average number of people watching the current affairs show was around 122,000; but over the past three weeks that has risen to almost 132,000.
TVNZ head of news and current affairs Anthony Flannery said he was "delighted" with the way the show was performing.
"Pippa and Paul have hit their stride as a duo. They have made a week of terrific television, and we have had a fantastic response from viewers around New Zealand."
When Wetzell was announced, Flannery described her, co-host Henry and news presenter Peter Williams as "a dream team".
