Last week they designed a dress inspired by a car – this week the designers had to create a garment that was inspired by wallpaper that was wrapped around some trees.
"For this challenge, you will be creating a high-end fashion look that will be inspired by one of the wallpapers," said tutor Andreas Mikellis.
Like every competition in this show – this task is even stranger than the last.
With $150 in hand, the designers chose 'their wallpapered tree' and hit the fabric store.
Last week's winner Judy had a wee cry during the design process in the workroom, explaining: "To be honest I am finding this challenge really hard… everything is just really overwhelming."
Peni's model hit the runway first and as soon as she stepped out he said "I am having some regrets about the stomach… she looks like a pregnant woman walking down the runway." Yes, yes she does Peni.
Beth's outfit was sweet, yet bland. "I am wondering if there wasn't enough colour," she said. "It does fit her like a glove. She looks fantastic."
Caitlin's outfit looks chic and 'resort-like' in a gold and white colour palate. "It's something a lot of women would want to wear," she said.
Jess's maroon and blue outfit makes quite an impact on the runway. The off-the-shoulder styled wool jacket teamed with a turtleneck is very 'now'.
Kerry - who hit headlines last week for his work on the Karen Walker trench worn by the Duchess of Suffolk - outfit is rather bizarre. A 'Where's Wally' turtleneck under a silver fern-emblazoned romper suit. However, he insists "it looks high fashion, it looks luxe…I couldn't be more satisfied."
Camille's bold look is a little bit Big Bird in the skirt department. The bright yet ill-fitting jacket swamps the model's back and shoulders but we agree the long sleeves are pretty chic.
Benjamin's matching dress and pant design were made from a fabric he 'marbled' using shaving cream and paint to give a washed out pattern effect. He said his model "looks really cool, it's exactly what I wanted." We agree.
Judy's model stepped out in a lemon-coloured mini dress with a white cut-out waistcoat vest. "I am so anxious and disappointed for having to send this dress down the runway," she said. "I don't want to look at the judge's faces; I just want to hide in the corner."
Misty said she was "super happy" with her creation of a white jumpsuit with black and red accents. No surprises there as Misty bloody LOVES a jumpsuit.
WINNERS AND LOSERS
Benjamin was the winner this week with Georgia Fowler saying "your look was cool, current and 'runway'."
"It felt good to win, obviously… I want to go on a winning streak," said Benjamin.
Beth was sent home because her outfit was "a little bit vanilla, but very well constructed," says Fowler.
That leaves eight designers left in the competition.
