Stage show Priscilla Queen of the Desert, an adaptation of the 1994 hit film of the same name, makes its colourful debut in Auckland on Tuesday night.
The stage show tells the story of two drag queens and a transsexual who travel a sometimes bumpy road from Sydney to the outback in a bus in order to perform a cabaret in Alice Springs.
According to star Jeremy Stanford audiences can expect a light hearted and uplifting story despite the sometimes weighty themes.
The stage show features live performances of the songs featured in the film including I Love The Nightlife, I Will Survive, Finally, I've Never Been To Me, Shake Your Groove Thing and Go West.
