Filmmaker Garry Marshall's planned Princess Diaries sequel will be Anne Hathaway's first project after becoming a mother if he has his way.
The actress and her husband, Adam Schulman, welcomed son Jonathan Rosebanks in late March, and they are currently enjoying life as first-time parents.
However, Garry is hopeful the Les Miserables star will return to Hollywood sooner rather than later and will want to move ahead with a third instalment of their family-friendly movie franchise, in which Anne portrays unlikely royal Mia Thermopolis.
The director confirmed Anne's interest in Princess Diaries 3 weeks before she gave birth, and now he reveals he is "in talks" with studio bosses at Disney to officially green light the project."Disney is quite powerful," he told E! News, "and they say they would like to announce - not me - but we are talking."
