Americans got a closer look this week at Los Angeles-bound celebrity couple David and Victoria Beckham, but some had trouble recognising likenesses of the fashionable duo unveiled at Madame Tussaud's wax museum.
New York's Madame Tussaud's displayed figures of the soccer idol and his wife dressed for the red carpet. They were draped in an American flag and greeted by President George W. Bush holding a sign saying "Welcome to America".
The figures were loaned by the museum's London counterpart for two weeks.
While the couple are A-list celebrities in Britain, some visitors to the New York museum asked who they were.
