The classic kiwi "arm-fart" is to feature on a new musical track aiming to raise funds for the victims of the Christchurch earthquake.
Eighties pop star Bobby McFerrin, best known for his 1988 hit Don't Worry, Be Happy, collaborated with Cadbury for a new commercial, singing over a loop of sounds which includes dive bombs, cicadas, rugby balls being kicked and armpit farts.
The track will be used in a commercial and released on iTunes, with 100 per cent of the money going to charity.
"It was all fun," said McFerrin.
"I went to the studio and they had brought films they had taken of New Zealanders swimming and splashing in the water - my process was to record my impressions of what I saw."
The loops of repeating sounds acted as his accompaniment with McFerrin improvising over the top.
"Armpit farts" were another unique sound.
"I think I attempted a few of those when I was a kid, yeah."
