English police have warned Heather Mills-McCartney, the estranged wife of Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney, of a "non-specific threat" to her safety.
Sussex police said they had learned of the threat last week and Mills-McCartney had been fully informed, including "details of the names of individuals involved". Police had spoken to her estranged husband and were satisfied there was no imminent risk to Mills-McCartney.
Sussex police had been informed of the threat by police in Merseyside, which includes McCartney's home city of Liverpool.
