SAO PAULO - British pop band Simply Red has been forced to cancel a live performance in Brazil after the plane carrying the band's lead singer made an emergency landing.
Simply Red's Brazilian representative says Mick Hucknall was traveling from Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Rio de Janeiro for a televised live performance when a drop in cabin pressure on his commercial flight prompted the emergency landing in Sao Paulo.
Alexandre Dayrell says Hucknall was not injured, but was advised to rest. The live performance was scheduled for Sunday.
Dayrell said that Simply Red's tour will continue as normal this week with two shows in Sao Paulo and one in Rio.
