Pixies live and on disc

If you're going to the Pixies next week, then afterwards you can walk away with a recording of the show.

Abbey Road Live, a company specialising in fast-turnaround live recording will record both Auckland shows at the Powerstation on March 11 and at Vector Arena the following night.

The discs will be available at the concerts and fans can also get the recordings sent to them regardless of whether they attend the show.

Judging by past recordings of the tour - like the band's show at Hammerstein in New York on November 24 - it's a stunning document of the Pixies Doolittle tour, where the band are playing the album in its entirety to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
