Fair Go host, Pippa Wetzell, will be stepping in to co-host Seven Sharp.
Wetzell will be replacing Toni Street, who co-hosts the show with Mike Hosking, while she is away on maternity leave, from Monday.
In a statement Wetzell said "There's no doubt there are big shoes to fill with Toni, but I'm looking forward to returning to a live show format next to Mike [Hosking], who I have so much respect for."
Wetzell will be filling in for Street for the next few months, four nights a week, while Nadine Chalmers-Ross will co-host the show with Hosking on Friday evenings.
John Gillespie, TVNZ's Head of News and Current Affairs, says that Wetzell "is a fantastic journalist and she'll have a lot of fun and a great time with Mike on the show. They will make a strong team over these next few months".
