A "dirty water" pipe has reportedly burst on the red carpet at the Golden Globes, just hours before the Los Angeles-based awards ceremony is set to begin.
Black water sprayed across the carpet around midday, flooding the walkway and splashing cameras where international press were setting up, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter.
"A pipe has appeared to totally bust and there is water gushing, literally everywhere in the position of where all of the international press - everyone has moved out of the way," said E! channel reporter Catt Sadler.
"Rain was not expected in LA today, but we've got a little flooding!"
The pipe was thought to have been carrying sewage from the Beverly Hilton hotel. The incident was attended by firefighters, who used "air blowers and wet vacuums" to contain the spillage, THR reported.
