KEY POINTS:
Don't be surprised to see homegrown supermodel Rachel Hunter doing a spot of house-hunting in Herne Bay - just don't expect her to live there.
The ex-wife of rocker Rod Stewart said last night she was interested in buying a property in the Auckland suburb or "on one of those beaches up north".
But in the next breath, she admitted she was not planning to stay.
"People are always asking me 'when are you going to come home?' but it could be a while yet," said Rachel, back in New Zealand to launch her new line of swimwear last night.
"Even though I have been away for a long time, I will never consider myself an American.
"New Zealand will always be home and it's things like the fruit and vegetables, the sense of humour here and people's accents that I really miss the most."
Hunter, 37, former cover girl for international fashion magazines such as Vogue and Elle and Sports Illustrated covergirl, was at the Auckland bar Pontoon for a catwalk show to display the new swimsuits.
Champagne flowed as fashion types, media and sports personalities got the first glimpses of the beachwear.
Hunter, once one of the world's top swimwear models, said it was important the Lola range established itself in New Zealand and Australia before they made an assault on other markets.
The swimwear, which Hunter co-designed with Megan Walls of New Zealand Sports Merchandising, will go on sale in July.
The Lola range involves four lines which will be sold in specialist and department stores.
