The latest Hollywood trend of turning random brands into movies is proving unstoppable, with possible the strangest entry yet joining a growing list of films no one asked for.
Following announcements that properties as far reaching and strange as Monopoly, Hello Kitty and emojis will be receiving big-screen adaptations, PEZ dispensers has been decided as the latest product to have untapped movie potential.
It was announced this morning that production company Envision Media Arts has signed a deal with PEZ Candy Inc. to make an animated movie based somehow around the brand.
"PEZ Candy is beloved by children and adults alike. With Cameron Fay we've created a world unique to Pez and a story that will touch the hearts of many," said EMA CEO Lee Nelson.
What that unique, heart-warming world is has not been revealed yet, as there is no plot, character or casting details to go on, nor even a release date.
