Pete Doherty has been thrown out of rehab for disrupting the other patients' treatment.
The Libertines rocker booked himself into secluded jungle clinic The Cabin, in Chiang Mai, three weeks ago in an attempt to finally kick his addictions to heroin and crack cocaine.
But the musician - who was previously in a relationship with Kate Moss - was having such a negative effect on the other people in the Far East facility counsellors forced him to leave halfway through his treatment course.
Programme director Alastair Mordey - a former addict himself - said: "Pete was discharged today for therapeutic reasons.
"It is important to maintain the integrity of the treatment programme for the other clients to have a good chance of recovery. Pete understands this and therefore the reasons behind why we have asked him to leave.
