KEY POINTS:
A judge in Britain has warned rock musician Pete Doherty that he risks going to jail if he is caught again driving without a licence.
Doherty, who has been in and out of court on a variety of drug charges, admitted driving without a licence or insurance.
"He passed a driving test but he has never applied for a licence," his lawyer said. "He doesn't have a licence, or has ever had one, but he is entitled to have one." Doherty was fined the equivalent of $1000 and banned from driving until April.
