Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem's first child together is a boy.
It has now been revealed the Spanish actress gave birth the couple's baby on Saturday at Los Angeles' Cedars Sinai hospital but she and Javier are yet to choose a name for their new arrival.
According to Spanish magazine HOLA!, Penelope's mother Encarna, her younger brother Eduardo and her sister Monica and her actor boyfriend Alex Gonzalez were present at the birth.
Javier's mother Pilar Bardem flew from Madrid's Barajas airport to the US on Monday to meet her grandson for the first time.
The 36-year-old actress had been planning to have her baby in Madrid - where she and her husband live - but changed her mind after spending Christmas in Los Angeles and decided to have her delivery in Los Angeles so her child would have dual nationality.
It has been a great few days for 41-year-old Javier - who was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands, Spain - after he learnt on Tuesday he had been nominated for the Best Actor Oscar for his role in Biutiful.
The couple started dating after working together on Vicky Cristina Barcelona in 2007, and the pair - who had been friends for over 12 years before they embarked on a relationship - married in a low-key ceremony in the Bahamas in July 2010.
