Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen - or PPAP, as all the cool kids are calling it - features a Japanese man in lurid yellow clothing gyrating to tinny beat, while rapping (sort of) about fruit and stationary, with a spot of mime thrown in for good measure.

The yellow-clad fruit-and-pen-haver is Piko-taro - a character created by comedian and DJ Kosaka Daimaou, who is surely poised on the brink of Psy-style international celebrity, with various outlets describing PPAP as the 'next Gangnam Style.'
