Peaches Geldof has split from her musician husband after just six months of marriage.
Peaches, the 19-year-old daughter of Boomtown Rats singer Bob Geldof, released a joint statement with Max Drummey, 24, saying they had decided to end their marriage.
"After much soul searching we have made the mutual decision to end our marriage and have agreed to go our separate ways," the couple said in a statement released to The Mail on Sunday.
"Our parting is amicable and both of us still respect and care about each other immensely.
"There were no other people involved in this decision and we both look forward to a future as good friends."
Peaches married Drummey, a musician in the band Chester French, in August 2008 after meeting him a few weeks earlier.
Sources told the newspaper the pair, who had moved to New York, had not been living together for several months.
Shortly after tying the knot, Peaches said she "didn't go into it thinking: 'This is going to last forever'."
