Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey is set to become the latest suitor for unlucky-in-love literary heroine Bridget Jones.
Dempsey is in talks to join Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth in a new sequel.
The American actor, who played Dr Derek Shepherd aka McDreamy in the medical drama, is in final negotiations to star in the third instalment of the Bridget Jones' Diary romantic comedy.
Reports suggest Dempsey's potential new character will fit into the love triangle story line following Hugh Grant's departure.
Sharon Maguire, who directed Bridget Jones's Diary in 2001, will return to helm the project.
