She may be a slapper from West Auckland but Pascalle West from Outrageous Fortune is also proving very popular in the sartorial stakes. Being a bogan is fashionable, it seems. Well, her hot pink cocktail dress with spaghetti straps is certainly proving to be.
The dress worn by actress Siobhan Marshall on the final episode of series five is for sale on Trade Me as part of a fundraising campaign to raise money for the Samoan earthquake and tsunami relief.
Local celebrities and TV shows have donated key pieces of memorabilia and costumes to the cause, including items from Shortland Street, Outrageous Fortune and Sione's Wedding. Each garment is a genuine piece of film and television history.
Check them out on Trade Me under 'The stars come out for Samoa'. At the time of going to print, the size12 pink dress was at $365. The auction closes next week.
But actors aren't the only ones coming out to support Samoa. On Monday night at Vector Arena some of the country's most respected musicians will join forces to perform a benefit concert like no other.
It will be the gig of the year - and all for a good cause: to support the victims of the Samoan earthquake and tsunami. Everyone involved in the charity concert has rallied together to offer their services free of charge which means 100 per cent of the proceeds will be donated to Samoa.
Oscar Kightley will act as master of ceremonies, with performances by Neil Finn and Tim Finn, Dave Dobbyn, Bic Runga, Savage, Scribe, Hollie Smith, Elemeno P, Nesian Mystik, Jordan Luck Band, Che-Fu, Kirsten Morrell, DJ Sirvere, Aaradhna, PNC, Devolo, Mareko, King Kapisi, Ardijah and more.
Tickets are only $25 from www.ticketmaster.co.nz.
