The who's who of the New Zealand hair industry represented the antipodeans at L'Oreal's centenary celebrations in Paris last month.
L'Oreal's Frances Stead and celebrity snippers Rodney Wayne and Grant Bettjamen were among the lucky few to fly out from New Zealand to attend the glamorous gala dinner at Le Grand Palais, the largest ironwork and glass structure in the world.
Jean-Dominique De Ravignan from L'Oreal NZ got up close and personal with the veteran Hollywood actress Jane Fonda, who is a celebrity face for the L'Oreal brand. I'm told she was utterly charming and she rabbited on about her visit to New Zealand once.
Fonda, who has openly talked about her cosmetic surgery in the past (breast implants and operations to remove the bags under her eyes), became the face of L'Oreal Paris anti-ageing skin cream range in 2006 for a reported six-figure sum at the age of 68. She follows in the footstep of French screen siren Catherine Deneuve who was 61.
