He called time from his telly career in 2007 but Parky - or Sir Michael Parkinson as he is formally known - shows no signs of slowing down as he plugs books (Parky - My Autobiography), flogs CDs (My Life in Music) and now heads Downunder with his live stage show.
Parky - The One-Man Show comes to Auckland's Aotea Centre on Tuesday, November 3, before shows in Wellington and Christchurch.
The question is, just how does someone who has built his career on interviewing other people pull off a one-man show?
Through video clips of his favourite moments taken from throughout his 50-year career, apparently.
Parky has interviewed more than 3000 people over the years, so he's got plenty of material to work with - including a host of A-list actresses whom Parky claims have felt up his left knee.
Renee Zellweger, Sandra Bullock, Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kylie Minogue and even Dame Edna Everage are guilty of the crime, according to Parky.
The son of a coal miner, Parkinson has more than 60 years experience in journalism, beginning his career in print before racking up a near half-century on the box.
Having already catalogued his life in his autobiography, Parky will share his stories in person through book excerpts and tracks selected from his compilation CD.
Tickets will be available from the-edge.co.nz, from 9am this Monday, priced from $89-$139.
