Tony Parker has filed his own divorce papers against his wife Eva Longoria.
The basketball star - who plays for the San Antonio Spurs - handed in the legal documents in Bexar County, Texas, on Friday, two days after the Desperate Housewives star filed divorce papers at Los Angeles Superior Court.
In the petition, which has been obtained by gossip website TMZ, Parker states the "marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities between Petitioner and Respondent that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationships and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation".
The decision by the former couple to file legal papers in different states means there could now be a battle regarding where the divorce hearing will take place. If it goes ahead in Texas they could be legally separated within as little as 60 days.
Longoria, 35, filed her papers to dissolve her and Tony's three-year marriage on Wednesday.
The actress cited "irreconcilable differences" in her petition and is seeking spousal support from the 28-year-old sportsman.
Later in the week she took to her Twitter page to express her regret that her marriage is over.
She wrote: "It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other's happiness."
