Paris Hilton is planning a visit to Rwanda to bring attention to the poverty in the troubled nation.
In an interview with E! Online, Paris said the trip was part of her post-prison commitment to use her celebrity status to highlight important causes.
"There's so much need in that area, and I feel like if I go, it will bring more attention to what people can do to help," she said.

According to the humanitarian group CARE, only 41 per cent of the country's population currently has access to clean drinking water.
Paris was invited to Rwanda by Scott Lazerson of Playing for Good, an organisation which helps high-end business and entertainment personalities become involved in a variety of charities.
And while it will be her first such visit, the socialite says she would like to visit more countries where poverty and children's issues are a concern in the future.
"I know there's a lot of good I can do just by getting involved and bringing attention to these issues," she said.
Paris plans to visit Rwanda in November after filming of her latest movie Repo! The Genetic Opera wraps.
