Paris Hilton made a spectacle of herself this week in Prague, tumbling over a door step in front of a group of paparazzi. She landed on her face, bruising her chin - and her pride.
The heiress blamed the fall on the pursuing photographers, but published photos indicate it was she who tripped over a step while exiting a restaurant in the Czech Republic.
To add insult to injury, boyfriend Benji Madden who was with her, failed to immediately help her to her feet, turning instead to glare at photographers. When Madden eventually realised Hilton had hurt herself, he offered her a hand up.
Hilton is travelling with Madden while he tours Europe with his band Good Charlotte.
She had been enjoying the trip, which has included judging the Miss Turkey beauty pageant in Istanbul, appearing on German TV show "Wetten dass...?" and an encounter with lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos and rhinos at an elite private game reserve near Cape Town.
However she may not be returning to the Czech Republic any time soon. "Prague...never again," Hilton was heard muttering to Madden after her accident.
Hilton told US magazine People before the trip she was looking forward to accompanying Madden.
"We're actually leaving in a couple days for South Africa, so I'll be with him. I'm just happy to be together, so no matter where we are, we'll have a great time."
