KEY POINTS:
Jailbird Paris Hilton hates a lot of things about being in prison, but she loathes the sight of her orange uniform the most, her mother claims.
Hilton, who was visited by her mother Kathy over the weekend, is said to be in good spirits, but very frustrated with her situation.
"I think she's very, very excited to see the family," Kathy Hilton, 48, told People magazine as she entered the Lynwood, California prison on Saturday before spending an hour chatting to her daughter.
"Paris is doing really well, she is really looking forward to going home, and she thanks you in the press who supported her.
"She wants to be with the family and she can't wait to take that orange suit off," added a family spokesperson.
One prison visitor said Paris Hilton pressed her hands against the glass in the visiting area, and appeared to be visibly upset that she couldn't reach out and hug her mother.
Kathy Hilton also told People that Paris appears to be in good shape, but her spirits are low.
"She's sick of orange," says her mother. But her health is good. She looks ... like Paris," she added.
Paris Hilton will give her first post-jail interview on CNN's Larry King Live on Wednesday (Thurs NZT), the show's spokeswoman has confirmed.
"She will be on for the hour," Bridget Leininger said. "We had (filmmaker) Michael Moore originally scheduled for that time."
Paris is set to leave prison on Tuesday (Wed NZT) after serving 23 days of the original 45-day sentence for violating probation on a driving ban.
