KEY POINTS:
Despite rumours to the contrary, jailbird Paris Hilton won't be posing for Playboy magazine - because her mother disapproves.
Kathy Hilton, who is said to be taking drastic and calculated measures to ensure Paris' wild party girl image is toned down, apparently vetoed the idea immediately.
Playboy boss Hugh Hefner allegedly pitched the idea to the Hiltons recently - with the idea that Paris would be photographed in the nude as soon as she exits from jail.
But ageing playboy Hefner said Kathy's intervention means that the idea has been trashed.
Hefner told Access Hollywood: "Well, that's a standing offer. I think the problem quite frankly is mama. Mama doesn't want her to pose."
Some might argue that seeing Paris in the nude would hardly be a huge revelation - after all, the world has already seen her starkers in a shamefully lurid sex tape.
Despite Kathy's intervention, one thing's for certain, Paris won't be short of work when she's out of the slammer.
Sources close to the Hiltons claim that Paris will soon release a blow-by blow account of her jail term in a new book, as well as a fly-on-the-wall documentary.
Which is just what the world needs - an overexposed Paris Hilton doing what she does best.
