Paris Hilton has become the latest victim of 'swatting'.
Police officers swarmed the former reality TV star's Los Angeles home after they received an anonymous phone call at 5.22pm that someone was breaking into her home.
A law enforcement source told gossip website TMZ.com that unlike past swatting incidents, the caller did not mention anything about armed assailants but when police arrived at the property, they found no trace of anyone breaking in.
The 32-year-old star was at a music festival in Miami, Florida at the time of the incident, which police have decided was a prank.
The blonde beauty is the latest in a number of celebrities to fall victim to a 'swatting' prank, following a similar incident at Tom Cruise's Beverly Hills home in January when a prank caller claimed an armed robbery was taking place, but officers found no crime had been committed.
