Music streaming website Pandora has announced it is shutting down operations in Australia and New Zealand, just after the news of its chief executive's resignation.
Australia and New Zealand are the only countries where it operates outside the United States. Users will lose access over the next few weeks, aPandora spokesperson told Billboard magazine.
At least 60 people work in the Australian and New Zealand offices, with the Auckland office being in charge of sales and revenue operations.
Chief executive and co-founder Tim Westergren two days ago announced he was going to step down after helping to start it in 1999.
Despite launching in 2000, Pandora wasn't open to the public market until 2011. It acts as a radio-like service in which stations are created and tailored around the users' choices of bands, genres and eras.
