Kate Winslet - who has been nominated for this year's Best Actress Oscar for her part in The Reader - says she hates walking the red carpet.
She said: "One of the great, 'OK, you can breathe now moments,' is when you've gotten through the red carpet. It's like, 'Oh God, what if I trip over, what if I say something stupid, I wonder if they can see the big zit on my chin?'
"The relief moment is that moment when you get in the doors and there aren't any cameras and you go, 'Phew! Where's the bathroom?'"
Kate was widely criticised for her gushing acceptance speech at this year's Golden Globe Awards - where she scooped two gongs - but insists the backlash has not made her prepare anymore.
She revealed: "I don't have a speech prepared. I'm just not thinking that far ahead. I just feel so happy to have had this nomination, that it's for a film that was so challenging."
The 33-year-old actress has not even decided what outfit she will wear to the prestigious ceremony, but is determined to have fun choosing it.
She told People magazine: "It's such fun to work out what you're going to wear. You become incredibly girlie. In England we don't have the tradition of prom or anything like that. The closest we came was a tragic school disco where the lights would break and the music was awful."
