Oprah Winfrey already knows what she's giving to Baby Sussex

The royal baby isn't even born yet (although that's up for debate) but Oprah Winfrey has already picked out a gift for the already-famous bub.

The US media titan told Access Hollywood in Los Angeles that she has a certain gift she always gives to those close to her.

"I have a standard gift that I do for people that I really care about," Winfrey said. "So I don't know the baby's name or the baby's gender, but this baby will have enough books to last a lifetime!"

It comes as Winfrey told Entertainment Tonight that she was impressed by Meghan eschewing royal tradition with her decision to choose her own doctors, her own hospital and not to pose for public pictures after the birth.

"To be able to stand up and say this is what I really want for my baby and my family and now I'm going to do it a different way when it's been done that way for a thousand years? I'm just so proud of her."

Winfrey said she admired Meghan's willingness to "stand [up for] what works for her and Harry, and what is the truth for them, how they're going to raise their baby"

She said it was "a great thing" that Harry and Meghan had decided to keep the birth private and not present the baby to photographers as her sister-in-law Kate and mother-in-law Diana have done.

"Who is ready to walk out and stand before the world and put that face on, you know, a day after you've had a baby? So I think for her and him — I'm sure it was a mutual decision for the two of them — I think it's a great thing."

Winfrey also reckons Meghan's stance will help other women around the world who might feel pressure to appear perfect as a new mother.

She went on to say she thought the birth of the royal baby wasn't anyone else's business.

Winfrey attended the couple's wedding last year and is currently working on a TV documentary series with Harry about mental illness for Apple.

"We're excited to be exploring it together — he's a true partner," Winfrey told E! News, adding that Harry "does answer emails" quickly.

"Every week we do a weekly update letting him know where we are, directors we've spoken to, how many people we're planning on bringing on board and what we're thinking of naming it," she said. "He weighs in. He always has something to say about everything."

For his part, Harry said in a statement posted to social media that he was "incredibly proud to be working alongside Oprah on this vital series' about mental fitness."

"Delighted to be partnering with you," Winfrey shot back. "Hope we shed a lot of Light. And change some lives!"
