May Day marks the beginning of the seventh annual New Zealand Music Month and to celebrate, Christchurch's Dux de Lux is hosting the official launch party.
Fur Patrol will headline the gig, giving a sneak peak of their new EP Long Distance Runner, expected later in the month.
Local acts Pine, Dukes and Black Market Art will join in the festivities, taking the stage from 6pm onwards.
If you can't make the Christchurch date, fear not. Live music venues throughout the country are set to host an assortment of top local talent throughout the month.
