KEY POINTS:
It's good news for those who want to age disgracefully - with a British pop magazine unveiling its oldest ever Cool List.
Every year the music magazine NME compiles the top 50 names of the people it deems cool.
Younger stars, this time represented by Amy Winehouse, 24, Kate Nash, 20, and Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner, 21, are still in the top 10.
But the 2007 list is the oldest ever, with the total age of all the "cool" names coming to a grand total of 1389.
The names are topped by British tattooed singer Frank Carter, 23, the frontman of punk band Gallows. But a selection of older figures have sneaked on to the list, after being absent last year, making middle-age cool.
They include Ian Brown, the 44-year-old former lead singer of the Stone Roses, Oasis star Noel Gallagher, aged 40, and US singer Prince, aged 49. Keith Richards, 63, has risen 16 places to number 10 after he appeared to confess to having snorted his father's ashes.
