Good news Star Wars fans — it looks like one of the most beloved characters of all time is making a comeback, albeit on the small screen.
Deadline is reporting that Ewan McGregor is in talks to reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a project for upcoming Netflix rival Disney+.
McGregor first played the Jedi in The Phantom Menace in 1999, followed by 2002's Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith in 2005.
The older version of Obi-Wan was played by legendary screen star Alec Guinness in the original Star Wars trilogy. Guinness died in 2000 at age 86.
There have been rumours of an Obi-Wan spin-off since Disney acquired the rights to Lucasfilm and announced plans to expand the Star Wars universe with more films in 2012.
