Adidas has been shamed into canning a documentary about the making of the new All Black jersey due to the embarrassment around its pricing.
The promotional video - featuring interviews with current and former All Blacks and management - was due to screen on Sky TV but was pulled at the last minute.
Adidas admitted it was one of several marketing campaigns to be cancelled after controversy around the All Black jersey.
The giant apparel and shoe firm was accused of ripping off New Zealanders after the new hi-tech jersey was priced at $220 in stores here - while shoppers overseas could purchase the jersey for as little as $80.
Adidas NZ sports marketing strategy manager Paul Stephens said TV production team Augusto created a library of footage documenting the design and creation of the All Blacks' playing jersey.
