Nicole Richie has been granted a temporary restraining order against two paparazzi who harass her "on a daily basis."
The 28-year-old socialite – who was involved in a car accident last month when two photographers, Eduardo Arrivebene and Ivon Miguel, crashed into her vehicle – said they had caused her "severe emotional distress."
A statement filed by Nicole – who is dating Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden - claimed the two photographers would "scream at me in an attempt to get my reaction, scare me, follow me, chase me in their vehicle."
Nicole added: "I am fearful that their continued presence may cause yet another accident, this time with my infant children in the vehicle."
The two men have been ordered to stay 100 yards away from Nicole and her two children, Harlow, 21 months, and Sparrow, six weeks.
A Los Angeles judge issued the temporary order on Friday and a further hearing on November 16 will determine whether the instruction will be made permanent.
Following last month's accident, Eduardo, who was driving the car which hit Nicole's, was arrested for driving without a license. He was released on US$1,225 bail.
