One hundred non-celebrity mums and mums to be have been treated to a baby shower by Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, who are expecting their own baby in January.
The event, at the LA Free Clinic, is one of the first acts undertaken by the newly founded Richie Madden Children's Foundation.
"The looks on their faces were priceless," said Nicole, who showered the crowd with US$200,000 ($258,835) worth of gifts.
