Nicki Minaj testified on behalf of Meek Mill in court yesterday.
The Super Bass hitmaker spoke for half an hour in a Philadelphia court on her boyfriend's behalf at a probation violation hearing, in which she vowed to help him stay on the straight and narrow.
According to reports, she told the judge she will help the rapper stay organised and work with him to fulfill his community service requirement.
She said: "He's not perfect, but I can't believe how much he's changed...
"He doesn't have a lot of structure. He can be irresponsible.
"Since I've come in his life, I think I've been working on that a little bit. ... He's just getting accustomed to being an adult."
Meek's probation stems from a 2008 drugs and weapons conviction and one of the terms is that he can't leave Philadelphia without first securing a travel voucher.
According to TMZ, he failed to do that when he attended the American Music Awards in Los Angeles with Nicki last month, triggering the alleged violation.
During the hearing, Meek's lawyer Frank DeSimone described the music industry as "chaotic" and insisted his client is not trying to disrespect the judge.
He also reportedly told the judge the All Eyes On You star is "serious about getting married" to Nicki and the Anaconda hitmaker "would not marry a criminal or 'bum.'"
The 28-year-old rapper - who was jailed for five months last year for another violation - took to social media to thank fans for their prayers and hit out at those who mocked his legal troubles.
He posted: "I'm actually fighting for my life and freedom ... Something I've been going thru from a case I caught at 19 years old and been on probation since ... I am 28 now ... It's funny to see people on the internet laughing and joking about me and my family going thru these things, it's just shows me where the world is at nowadays!
"But if you are for me prayers up and wish me the best! Thank you to everybody that ever supported and I will continue to b great!
"If this is my last post know I will continue to remain strong and grow to b a better man and set a example for every minority with a dream that anything is possible! Trials and tribulations and chances makes chances & never lose faith! No matter how things go. PRAYERS UP!!(sic)"
A decision was not made on the alleged violation and there will be another hearing on the matter on December 17.
Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is so obsessed with crime shows, Meek Mill thinks she's plotting to kill him.
Minaj constantly watches detective and police programmes and her boyfriend is convinced she does so in order to pick up tips on planning the perfect murder.
She admitted: "I watch Investigation Discovery all day. All day. Like, I know everything about law and crime-solving.
"Everybody that comes to my house, they're like: 'Do you not take it off this channel?'
"Meek thinks that I'm planning on killing him. We live together now, and every time he wakes up, it's on. Every time he goes to sleep, it's on."
Nicki recently moved from New York to Los Angeles and, like her friend Beyonce - who has three-year-old daughter Blue Ivy with husband Jay-Z - she feels much happier in the sunny city.
She told Billboard magazine: "I love it [in Los Angeles]. I spoke to Beyoncé about it, because she came out here recently too.
"She said exactly what I used to say when I first moved here. We just feel happier. She was saying that simple things that would normally feel like a task, they don't [feel that way] out here.
"She told me it's not bothersome to get up super early and have to take Blue to school, because it looks so beautiful.
