Nicki Minaj has apologised for swearing while hosting an expletive-ridden ceremony at the 2014 MTV European Music Awards.
The Anaconda hitmaker started the Scottish-based show as she meant to go on by dropping the F-bomb on two occasions in her opening line before saying sorry for her language and joking she could do what she wants because she is the host.
Speaking to the audience at the SSE Hydro Arena after turning up on stage in a ruffled dress complete with a 14ft train, she said: "What the f*** is good Glasgow? It's November and it's the EMAs. Sit back, relax and get ready to turn the f*** up.'
"I'm sorry if I cursed, but I am Nicki Minaj."

But the 31-year-old star, who picked up the Best Hip-Hop accolade at the ceremony, wasted no time in getting the crowd on her side as she threw out 1000 free drink vouchers, 'Minaj Money', which got the audience's approval.
