Some argued that Minaj's position as the dictator went so far as to glorify Nazism while others point out that rapper Drake, who features on the track, is reportedly half-Jewish.
Minaj and the video's director Jeff Osbourne also present buildings draped in swastika-style "YM" banners, gasmasks and exploding bombs.
Aside from the offensive Nazi references, the lyrics overlaying the video are obscene, explicit and derogatory to women, sparking further controversy.

Minaj hosted the MTV European Music Awards in Glasgow on Sunday night but despite heavy criticism, has yet to comment on reactions to her video.
The 31-year-old is no stranger to outrage, however, after the video for her last single Anaconda shocked fans with its overtly-sexualised imagery.
There were shots of Minaj thrusting her huge G-stringed behind at the camera from every imaginable angle, an uncomfortable lap dance involving Drake and a kitchen scene featuring whipped cream and bananas.

Minaj's reaction to the Anaconda backlash? "Disrespectful".
"If a man did the same video with sexy women in it, no one would care," she told V Magazine. "You're talking about newspeople who don't even know anything hip-hop culture.
"They don't say anything when they're watching the Victoria's Secret show and seeing boobs and thongs all day. Shame on them for commenting on "Anaconda" and not commenting on the rest of the oversexualised business we're a part of."
